This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been at. From The wonderful food to the staff. The hostess was friendly and smiling, the wait staff were all friendly as well. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and her recommendations were spot on. I will Be stopping in anytime I visit San Diego. The owners and manager of this place should be proud. Well done. I recommend the Tuna handroll, pork belly, Agra chile and cauliflower steak.

This was my second time at Starlite and I had another outstanding experience so I wanted to take the time to review. I cannot recommend this place enough, from the ambience , food , service and drinks - it’s all a 10/10. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary this time and our waiter Pablo gave us some of the best service we have ever had- very attentive and personable. Every room is meticulously decorated and is so cute! Each dish is better than the next, absolutely mouth watering! Starlite will be a staple for our date night rotation and we can’t wait to be back.

An absolutely exceptional dining experience at Solare Ristorante! We started with the Tuscan Pici Pasta, and I have to say — it was even better than my grandmother’s recipe, and she was 100% Italian! Rich, authentic, and perfectly prepared. The La Parmigiana was hands down the best eggplant parmesan I have ever had. The sauce was incredibly flavorful — perfectly balanced — with just the right amount of cheese to complement, not overpower, the dish. And the desserts… wow. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever tasted, beautifully and creatively presented in a small flower pot — elegant and memorable. We also enjoyed dark chocolate slices with almonds and pistachios, accompanied by gelato and accented with homemade mango and raspberry sauces that elevated every bite. The service was equally impressive — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding flavors, beautiful presentation, and exceptional hospitality, Solare is a must-visit. We will absolutely be back!
