Dobson & Parnell offers elevated modern British dining on Newcastle Quayside. The open kitchen and sociable dining style showcase vibrant menus inspired by the best produce from the North East, with subtle global influences and a commitment to sustainable, nose-to-tail cooking.Led by Head Chef Kyle Bowman, the menu features bold, seasonal dishes from citrus-cured mackerel with pickled fennel and BBQ pork belly with whipped pease pudding to BBQ monkfish with Café de Paris butter and brown shrimp, alongside vegan nduja bhaji. Sharing dishes such as grilled whole market fish and Beef Wellington encourage relaxed, social dining.Set within a beautifully restored Victorian warehouse, the restaurant blends historic character with a warm, contemporary interior. Dobson & Parnell holds an AA Rosette and was named “Taste of the North East” at the North of England Tourism Awards 2025. Open Monday–Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday for lunch.

Pho Newcastle is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in phở, the Vietnamese noodle soup and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles, and fresh salads too. Our starters such as summer rolls and spring rolls are perfect for sharing with friends and family. We also offer an entirely gluten free dessert menu with dishes like Pandan waffles, condensed milk ice cream and a Vietnamese affogato. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular dietary restrictions.     We went for lunch. The staff were friendly & efficient. We had different mains.. short rib, pork , & monkfish. All delicious, the new potatoe s were also good thehot bread & tomato butter was tasty. I had the battenberg cake as a ⁵ was a nostalgia hit ; it was delicious.. I liked the ambience of the place & will return when I next visit Newcastle.

    This little gem has to be the best lunch/ late afternoon restaurant in Newcastle and it would take some beating to anywhere in the UK Food and service absolutely brilliant ! Looked after by Liz and Francesca  Make it top of your list for a visit

    Great meal. Our server Kiko was attentive and everyone was very friendly to our dog. We visit our local Pho in Kent regularly and we were happy we visited Newcastle pho

    We had an amazing time with our friends,the staff was very friendly,food was amazing!! The portions are huge and we didn’t expect it because as we know it’s quite expensive everywhere but this place left us amazed. The prices were sooo good for what you get. Oh and the social bird lager was so refreshing and very tasty. We are impressed and we will definitely go again!!!
