Mauro, the chef, and his wife Tina, have an huge amount of experience behind them.Mauro is from Naples, Tina was born in a little sicilian town near by Enna.He began to learn everything about the southern cuisine by his experience in Naples since he was a child, from “Polipetti alla Luciana” to “Paccheri ai frutti di mare”. Furthermore he moved in Milan and he had the chance to learn the northern cuisine, from “Risotto ai funghi porcini” to “Polenta grigliata”, one of his favourite specialties!From an ancient sicilian tradition, Tina learnt everything about the desserts by her grandmother and her mother, from “Millefoglie” to “Cannoli cake”.We hope you enjoyed reading about us.

    Amore is not to be overlooked.........located in an area away from many restaurants in Sarasota. Our table for 5 received great service..everyone enjoyed the food...there was entertainment in the front area of the restaurant Amore is not to be overlooked, interesting menu and great food

    We were celebrating a 43 year anniversary with another couple and the experience could not have been any better. The restaurant is lovely, the service is outstanding and the food was delicious. My sister and I had the veal scallopini. We give it 5 stars. Brother in law had swordfish and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Husband had the ravioli special which was stuffed with sausage and broccolini and covered in a delicious roasted red pepper sauce. Fabulous! The server brought a special dessert to celebrate. You can’t beat half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays. We can’t wait to go back!

    Went during the Savor Sarasota week. A local Italian restaurant that eats like an upscale Italian restaurant. Eggplant rollatini and a salad for appetizers. Linguine and clams and branzino for dinner. You could tell the pasta was fresh along with the tender littlenecks. The fish cooked perfectly, lightly sauced and set on a bed of artichokes and capers. I know this might sound like an average review but from me it’s nothing short of a rave!
