We love Mr Tipples for live jazz! A beautiful, intimate room with attentive servers, great sound, and a cool vibe. The chicken dumplings are delish.

What a gem! The ambiance is delightful, the food was delicious and the service was perfect. My daughter and I were very impressed and we will be back. Great value as well.

Truly one of our top two restaurants in San Francisco. We came back to celebrate our anniversary after a fabulous first experience last December, and the team somehow exceeded what was already an exceptional night. We had our favorites return, but the creativity and nuance in every dish we tasted was divine. Chef Bleidorn's live-fire cooking gives everything this smoky, layered depth, and then it's balanced by a delicacy you don't expect from an open hearth. What they do with caviar is something else. The cornbread and caviar alone is worth the reservation. I was also so pleasantly surprised by the botanical pairing, their non-alcoholic option, which turned out to be one of the most surprisingly thoughtful parts of the meal. It's clearly something they've put real care into rather than treating it as an afterthought, and it made the whole evening feel complete without a sip of wine. Although my partner can confirm the sommelier's wine suggestions were fantastic as well. And the service tops it all off. We sat where we could watch the open kitchen, and everyone from the host to the many folks in and around the fire took every effort to make our night lovely. These are people you want to see win.
