It’s been that way since Drago & Klara Cvitanovich opened our restaurant in 1969. They set out to offer delicious seafood and a good time to guests for a reasonable price. At that time, they couldn’t even imagine how many guests that would become.Today it’s still a family atmosphere. Klara is still at the front to greet our guests.     Everything we had was outstanding, especially the softshell tempura shrimp appetizer, fire roasted oysters, smoked duck gumbo, and Drum amandine. The service was impeccable and the view of the river made it really special. This restaurant is on the Riverwalk and does not have a street front, which may be an accessibility issue for handicapped/disabled persons.

    The Filet Mignon was outstanding ! The crab dip au gratin was decadent and rich I had the drum fish with blue crab topping it was heavenly ! The staff was so mindful we celebrated a birthday and they helped make the night one to remember ! Excellent !

    Excellent service! Our Uber driver recommended Drago's because of the charbroiled oysters. He said they are the best in New Orleans. He was correct! It was our first time trying them. Delicious! We also did the gator bites and bread pudding. Both were also phenomenal. Our server was fantastic. Thanks for a great evening!
