Step back in time at the Blue Wing Restaurant & Saloon.First opened in the 1880s when Upper Lake, California, was a stagecoach stop, our bar and restaurant in Upper Lake was a popular spot for weary travelers to get a hearty and comforting meal, enjoy a cold beverage, and make new friends. It was unfortunately torn down in the 1920s due to Prohibition, but the owners never forgot the legacy and deep history of the saloon. Rebuilt to match an 1870s-era back bar recycled from a pub in Pennsylvania, the expansive black-walnut bar and dining tables were built on site from a 100-plus-year-old tree harvested from the property. Old-growth redwood wainscoting discovered during the hotel’s renovation was rescued and reused in the saloon.

    I love the Dry creek kitchen. I have never had anything , but perfection. The people working there are amazing. Last night was especially fun with the people working there dressing up for Halloween. Shout out to Maria for her bloody Maria costume. It was wonderful and so is she.,we love all of the Charlie Palmer restaurants.❤️

    From the fresh bread to dessert, every bite was packed with flavor. The broth for the mussels is so good I could drink it. My steak was cooked to a perfect mid rare. Great wine selection as well. Our third visit and we’ll be back. Also love the Mattheson as well.

    Quaint rustic setting; indoor and outdoor. Great service. Bloody Mary spicy and very good. The Fish and Chips were excellent! Very fresh fish and nice portion. Will be back.
