Stella's Is For You (And Us)Our menu goes way beyond the typical freezer bag to fryer crap you find at a lot of bars. Our famous giant stuffed burgers were named Best in Grand Rapids by Grand Rapids Magazine. We even make our own vegetarian and vegan burgers, beer-battered avocados and stuffed tots. The Heritage is one of the many classroom/laboratory facilities operated by the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College. The restaurant is staffed by students in the culinary programs and is under the direct supervision of Chef and Dining Room Professors.During lunch, your meal will be prepared and served by first year students. The meals represent International Cuisine with modern and classical touches.The Secchia Institute for Culinary Education restaurants and kitchens are classroom settings. We take pride in them. Our students prepare our meals daily with the finest seasonally available ingredients including freshly baked artisan bread.

    We were looking for Puerto Rican food in particular and the photos from other reviewers are what drew us in. Taco Borracho has an interesting selection of both Mexican and Puerto Rican style dishes. I ordered the steak jibarrito and it was massive! I barely ate half and took the rest to go. My husband ordered the pork chops - the only disappointment was the size (he wishes he had ordered something bigger). Our friends enjoyed their meals as well. We shared appetizers (chips with guacamole, queso, and salsa, and an order each of chicken and steak chimichangas). Our server was wonderful! We made instant friends with Dylan (not sure how he spells it) and although we are sad to hear he is leaving, he left such a great impression on us. Thank you, Dylan, for your fantastic hospitality and best wishes on your future endeavors! We will surely be back and are looking forward to meeting more of the crew.
