Always a lovely spot. We like to come by boat. Staff is attentive and friendly.

Fabulous food (especially the waygu pasta, AAA steak. Attentive service. Kids enjoyed the non-alcoholic cocktails. Waiter even got us Crème brule not on the menu which was incredible!

The views of the lake were spectacular from the verandah. The servers were friendly and genuine. The food was absolutely WOW! Every single course was top notch in presentation and flavour. Would highly recommend.

Last night’s supper at Portside was 5-star on any system. The food, service and ambiance were spectacularly good in relation to other Muskoka restaurants we have visited this year. It is a pity for locals that they are soon closing for this season. We have had some history of experience at this location, going back to our first time when it was Loondocks. The first night was like last night, maybe even better, but then the restaurant located in this excellent location delivered increasingly shabby experience IMO … so much so, that we stopped going when we were here at our cottage. Noting a change in name and decor (we did not come E in 2024), we decided to try it again. Whomever is running the show now has really turned things around brilliantly. MANY KUDOS! Given opportunity, we will be back and once again we’ll be recommending the place enthusiastically to others.

I had the trout….cooked perfectly with a fennel slaw. Delicious. Served with a lovely Chablis.
