The typical Dutch cosiness means in countries around the Mediterranean 'together'. Taking time for each other around a table full of small dishes and enjoy a glass of wine. Each ordered an average of 3 or 4 dishes per person and then everything on the table is shared socialising. Our chef roams the market looking for seasonal products and likes to combine local produce with Mediterranean spices. In Jottum is preferably cooked with organic, fair trade, and fresh produce.

    Absolutely recommend this little gem of a place. The reviews persuaded me to book and I’m so glad I did. Lovely atmosphere, fabulous experience the owner is a wonderful character. As for the food you just have to taste it home good local produce. Loves it!

    Wir haben das DenC als ein kleines, elegantes und charmant eigentümergeführtes Restaurant erlebt, das sofort mit seiner warmen, persönlichen Atmosphäre überzeugte. Die Küche ist sehr gut: kreativ, präzise, überraschend – und das zu einem Preisniveau, das in Amsterdam schon außergewöhnlich fair wirkte. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und angenehm unaufdringlich, was das Gesamterlebnis perfekt abrundete. Im Fazit: Ein Juwel in Amsterdam. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert für alle, die hervorragende Küche in einem intimen, stilvollen Rahmen schätzen.

    Unexpected gem . Delicious food prepared and served perfectly. Full restaurant managed without a misstep by the owner who was gracious and helpful with excellent recommendations. Prices were reasonable including the wine.
