Pho Portsmouth is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in phở, the Vietnamese noodle soup and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles, and fresh salads too. Our starters such as summer rolls and spring rolls are perfect for sharing with friends and family. We also offer an entirely gluten free dessert menu with dishes like Pandan waffles, condensed milk ice cream and a Vietnamese affogato. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular dietary restrictions. We are an independent Kitchen & Tap House located in the heart of Southsea. Our name derives from Thomas Croxton, who built the first houses in the area around 1809. The area subsequently became known as Croxton Town, but in 1857 the town’s name was changed to Southsea, after King Henry’s Southsea Castle.Located in the old Southsea Post Office we offer craft beer, cocktails, wine and spirits, along with award winning food inspired by our travels from around the world. Our Sunday lunch was awarded best in the region after a national search held by Unilever Food Solutions, and in 2024 we were voted “Best Casual Dining” venue in Hampshire & IOW as part of the regional and national awards hosted by Muddy Stiletto.
