Echo Lake is a rum bar and restaurant from partners Chloe Frechette and Paul McGee. The Williamsburg destination marks the evolution of McGee's beloved Chicago bar Lost Lake, a World's 50 Best Bar and one of the most celebrated tropical bars in the country. At its core, Echo Lake is a celebration of rum in all its styles, showcased through rum-focused cocktails and a selection of house-made rhum arrangé, agricole rhum infused with fruits and spices in the tradition of the French Caribbean. Highlights from the bar include the Daily Daiquiri (always $12) and the Freezer Ti Punch, Echo Lake's take on the freezer Martini by way of Martinique. The food menu skews toward the sea, with bold, aromatic dishes drawing on the flavors of the world's sugar cane-producing countries.
