Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine.The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

Located in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans, N7 is a neighborhood French restaurant and wine bar. Founded by filmmaker Aaron Walker and chef Yuki Yamaguchi, N7 specializes in French cuisine, often infused with a Japanese touch.The restaurant is set off the street behind a tall fence amidst a garden, with indoor and outdoor seating. The wine menu is focused on small European winemakers who adhere to a natural, handmade approach to winemaking: little or no added sulfites, natural yeasts and the use of no pesticides.N7’s name derives from Nationale 7 (N7), the highway that once ran from Paris to the border of Italy. Known as the “Route des Vacances”, vacationing Parisians would take the road on their way South. Along the way, the Michelin Guide would direct them to the mom and pop restaurants which began to appear in farmhouses and hotels along the way to cater to them.     La Petite Grocery was absolutely phenomenal! I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about the food. We had the shrimp and grits and the burger, and both were out of this world! Every single bite was absolutely delicious. I could seriously eat those shrimp and grits every day and never get tired of them! The food was so incredibly good that it’s hard to even put into words just how amazing it was. The service was excellent, and everyone was so warm, friendly, and welcoming. From beginning to end, it was such a wonderful dining experience. I only wish we lived closer so we could come back again and again! La Petite Grocery was definitely one of the highlights of our New Orleans trip, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal!

    Such a special meal. We loved everything we ordered - pig ears, seafood soup, goat with sweet potato gnocchi. Service was also top-notch.

    My absolute favorite restaurant in New Orleans. It never disappoints! Superb service from Murphy and Megan, and Murphy was kind enough to give me a tour of the restaurant. I had the fall lunch special with the autumn salad and Coq au Vin, along with an order of the delicious lobster and crabmeat au gratin. I highly recommend!
