The Quality Chop House celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019.Our menus are seasonally-focused and change daily based around the best produce delivered each morning. We suggest bookings, but do take walk-ins.In addition to our a la carte menu, we offer a £29 set lunch menu (January to November), and on Sunday lunches we serve a splendid roast.If you are interested in a table for more than 6 guests, we have a Private Dining Room that seats up to 14. Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

The brasserie, originally designed by the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki, showcases elegant 1920s Art Deco interiors that include rich wood panelling, brass fixtures and a vintage station clock. The menu is inspired by the warmth and elegance of the grand railway station restaurants of Paris, such as Le Train Bleu at Gare de Lyon and Café de la Paix at Gare Saint-Lazare. The Pig and Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the mid 1800’s when Islington was a village outside London. The area around the pub used to be fields used by farmers to rest and feed their livestock before being sent to Smithfield’s Meat Market for sale. We take our inspiration from farmhouse tables across Europe. We use the best farms and suppliers in the country and present a weekly changing menu that reflects the most seasonal produce the country has to offer. We have an in house team that hand pick and deliver our fruit and vegetables each morning from New Spitalfields Market. We butcher all of our meat on site daily in our specially built butchers room downstairs. Our team have worked hard on curating a wine list that changes regularly. Our wine selection features some of the best wines from family-owned vineyards and larger winemakers from across the world that we have used since the mid nineties. We also offer a selection of beers.
