The Farmhouse at Redcoats is a beautiful 15th century farmhouse nestled in the north Hertfordshire countryside. Sherwin Jacobs heads the kitchen and delivers quality, fresh, local produce, much of which is grown in the no-dig garden and onsite polytunnel. Feast over fire events, pop-up BBQs and supper club events litter the calendar. The food is award-winning - Best Premium Food, Good Food Guide, Food Made Good Award, 2 star rosette kitchen etc. Private dining is available across several charismatic rooms in the main house - The Old Kitchen, The Victorian Room and The Oak Room. There are 24 rooms available and the Barns venue across the courtyard is regarded as one of the best wedding venues in the country, regularly winning awards. Afternoon teas are available at 24 hour notice.

Lussmanns Harpenden, in an 18th century former coach house overlooking Leyton Green, is the locals’ favourite sustainable restaurant. In the summer, guests can enjoy alfresco dining in the charming, walled garden while the characterful and cosy brick-built brasserie is ideal for winter meals. The regularly changing Modern European menu, available for as little as £20.95 for two courses, showcases the best of British ingredients, including organic and free-range meat, sustainably sourced fish and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Set in 22 acres of stunning parkland Paris House is located on the Duke of Bedford's Estate in Woburn. Paris House blends modern culinary techniques with traditional foods to create a 6 course tasting menu. Paris House was originally built in 1878 in Paris. At the end of the 19th Century the timber framed building was dismantled and shipped piece by piece to its current home in the stunning grounds of Woburn Park. In January 2014 Paris House was bought by the businesses’ award winning Executive Chef Phil Fanning. The restaurant is managed as a family business by Fanning and his wife Claire.The restaurant’s tasting menus are based around dishes constructed with natural flavour combinations using the best seasonal produce available. Each menu has been carefully created to showcase the ingredients and provide you with a memorable dining experience.

    Have never had a bad meal. The food is more than worth the money compared to other places I have been to. The staff are always lovely and this is going back many years, they recruit well! Already booked in for my birthday next month.

    Booked a table for 4 for lunch and we had 5 dogs between us. The staff were very accommodating getting us our table. We all had a delicious all day breakfast and one of them was gluten free, readily catered for. Definitely worth a visit, booking recommended

    Excellent Sunday Roast. Lovely service. We attended for quite a late sitting and when items were no longer available, staff made adjustments to compensate. Really enjoyed our meal.
