The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar. We are very proud of our historic location, hence naming the restaurant after the year the world-famous Brooklands racetrack was built and opened. The restaurant interior reflects the area’s heritage with a 1920s and 30s inspired décor and when combined with modern service delivery as well as award winning food, we provide a contemporary dining experience for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. We have been award two AA rosettes for the past seven years.

    We didn’t have a lot of time before our walking tour of Windsor so opted for a sharing platter of seafood. The food was nice with a good variety of fish served with tartare sauce and sweet chilli sauce. The food was freshly cooked and arrived in a reasonable time. Would use again in similar circumstances.

    First visit here for us, family of 3 definitely won’t be the last. Not sure how this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star (it won’t be long!). Food and service was of the highest level. We asked for a bottle of wine that they had run out of we then chose a bottle which was £25 more expensive which they gave us for the price of the wine which wasn’t available as it was what we had wanted. This sort of attitude to service is very rare nowadays. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and were ready and able to answer any questions with an informative answer.
