Voted "The Best Newcomer" restaurant at the recent May 2023 Food Reader Awards, The Farm Table is all about taking food off the farm & into the fire, celebrating the simplicity of beautiful ingredients grown, reared, caught & crafted on our doorstep.

We aim to get as much from our farm onto your table as possible and if it’s not from our farm it’s from our vibrant community of like-minded artisan food producers, farmers & fisherman who share our passion.

Open everyday 12pm-3pm for lunch and evenings on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6pm-9pm

🎄 Additional Festive Openings: Open Tuesday Evenings (6pm - 9pm) on 3rd, 10th & 17th December 🎄

    Very tasty tempura mackerel;, beetroot, blackberry and hazelnut and a nice glass of wine. The truffles were passable - not quite as good as the rest of the meal.

    We had two great steaks which were perfectly cooked, and a lovely bottle of Malbec wine. An attractive dining room with high ceilings and good level of lighting. Good service, although our side dish of veg - which was rather small - had to be re-requested. Nice salad and french fries. Orange posset for pudding. A good experience all round but there was quite a lot of salt in the food, especially the fries. Not an extensive menu but this is a farm shop restaurant and you know that what you’re eating has been sourced on their doorstep. Not cheap but reasonable for what you are getting. Would recommend with advice to diners to be wary of the salt!

    Very nice place to go for lunch, food was up to a high standard and the atmosphere was great. Service was slightly slower than expected but that may be down to the way the restaurant operates. But maybe for a lunch service a little bit more speed could have been nice.

    Really disappointed today. We have eaten here several times on previous occasions and it has always been excellent. We ordered 2 fish dishes. They were cold and had obviously been prepared some time before serving as the sauces had congealed and the small amounts of potatoes/veg on the plate were over cooked. The extra vegetables were over cooked and also had dried out. Such a shame. We said nothing at the time as we did not want to embarrass our guests. They had pizzas which were very good. Wish we had ordered those instead. Come on, we know you can do better.

    Really enjoyed our meal in a lovely setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only one thing I would say it was a little bit cold in the restaurant where we were sat.

    Perfect on a very wet and windy Sunday to raise the spirits. My friend was staying from Surrey and was extremely impressed. I had changed the booking to an ordinary table as didn’t think as 80+ year olds we’d be comfortable on the stools!

    Simply cooked fish and meat prepared with local fresh produce. Overall the standard is high and well worth a try. The wine list is very good. The only negative is that we find the prices are somewhat excessive for the style of food. The service is exceptional.
