Succotash PRIME is a progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award winner Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern Steakhouse menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified, and passed from generation to generation for centuries. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

    We love to come to succotash, especially for lunch. The deviled eggs are outstanding, probably the best we’ve had. The avocado sandwich and the trout sandwich are also highly recommended. The food is delicate and delicious. The service very friendly, and quick. Deserts are great too, and so is the ambience, the building is gorgeous!

    Great Saturday brunch get together with friends who haven't seen each other in a while. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Our server did a great job of offering suggestions, engaging with our table and giving us time to catch up while still being attentive and accommodating. We enjoyed the meal and left happy!

    Me and my wife went there to celebrate a promotion. The service was great, the staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the overall experience was great. We will definitely come back.

    It was a beautiful dinner. The server and management staff were both very attentive to our needs. My guest I and I shared our appetizer and entree, cornbread, strawberry salad and apple cider bbq ribs. The salad was amazing with the strawberries and blue cheese. The bbq ribs and rice was also quite delicious and the ribs are pretty large portion. We also had dirty martinis which was well balanced. Overall a beautiful experience and the restaurant itself is stunning

    We made a last minute reservation at Succotash in downtown Washington, DC. We made it online. It went smoothly. The host was kind. He got us a nice table. The Capitals were playing so it was very loud and boisterous in there. That is okay. The food was good. My husband ordered the ribeye. It was flavorful but not as tender as we would have hoped. The service was very good. They were attentive and friendly.

    Our server offered still or sparkling water. I chose sparkling, my dining partner chose still. We were amazed to receive a bill charging $7,50 each for the water. Had we been told of the charge for water, we would have passed. Also, this restaurant is loud, really really loud.
