Though it’s located right in downtown Oakland, Penelope Bar and Lounge feels like it’s a world away on the inside. That’s why it’s the perfect location when you feel like getting away from it all and relaxing with a tasty cocktail and some friends. Some of the cocktails it has become known for are the chica fresa (bourbon, strawberry, sweet vermouth, baked apple bitters and lime) and, of course, the Penelope (tequila, fresh beets, apples, pears and lime). There are always new cocktails at Penelope Bar and Lounge as the ingredients change with the season. The Penelope Bar and Lounge also has some great sandwiches and appetizers to choose from, too.
