Our culinary journey is an homage to Jim Thompson, a foreigner who fell in love with Thai culture.

The core values of our restaurant, like Mr. Jim's, involve supporting the local community and collaborating extensively with them to promote sustainability and organic products.

We design our food offerings in the Thai way. Thais typically enjoy their meals family-style, with a variety of dishes placed in the centre of the table for everyone to share. Sharing is an integral aspect of Thai dining culture, fostering a sense of togetherness during meals.

Good news, Bad news. I ordered the lamb, when it arrives, it was almost room temperature. I asked the waitress to put it in the microwave for a minute or two to heat it up. About 10-12 minutes later, after my wife had finished her meal, the lamb was returned and wasn't much warned the when it was first served. I ate my meal without saying anything more. Just before the waitress brought my the check, I saw her and another woman talking and looking at my table. They approached the table and announced that since I wasn't satisfied with the meal, they had taken the $55.00 charge for the lamb off the bill. The meal was not to my liking but the service and integrity of the staff was outstanding. The fact that they took my word without question, speaks very highly of the staff and management and I hope that someday I can return for another meal. Regards, Joseph Glavin

It is Jim Thompson . When thinking of Jim Thompson Thai silk and authentic thai food , I always bring guests to Jim Thompson before renovation . I do not like food . Need to be authentic thai food .

the place is pleasant, the food is ok, the dishes are not very hot, the service is terrible. the staff does not know their job. after entering the table was not served, we were brought the main course the cutlery was missing we had to ask for it. the wine was hot. my wife had not yet finished her dish which we wanted to take away from her to offer us desserts. a real disaster for a birthday dinner. We strongly advise against this place.

Should be an excellent restaurant but so much needs to improve to achieve a better standard. It is a lovely setting in a peaceful location. The menu is interesting although with such small print in a darkened outside area it is extremely hard to read. Service was rushed and unintelligent - no suggestion of a welcome drink. One we had chosen, we were twice told dishes weren’t available leaving little choice. 2 starters arrived and 10 mins later a shared plate for the other 2 diners. Large sharing plates of beef arrived before we had finished - no prior explanation that this was the style of dining. Having been persuaded to have Waghu beef, it was very nice but just sliced beef with a small salad and sauce on the side - nothing to go with it so we were all left hungry. Half way through the main course we were advised that the kitchen was shortly closing and if we wanted deserts we needed to order quickly (we didn’t). I had twice emailed about any arrangements for New Year’s Eve with no response but on raising our concerns, we were advised that the bar upstairs was open to us for a NYE event. The manager brought us some Prosecco to soften our disappointment and some staff were very helpful towards the end but what an overall failure that could so easily be averted with improved staff team work, training, communication and menu planning
