Everything was fantastic until we decided to have a cocktail before we left. We sat at the bar vey close to the bartender for at least 10 minutes before he decided to serve us. Very poor service at the bar.

The service was terrible. My friends and I have been going there for a very long time for a dinner on a Wednesday night. The bread was basically day old as you almost had to tear it between your teeth to be able to have a bite. I felt my flatbread was burnt on the bottom. The service was horrible. Even though we had reservations we had to wait. Never have I had to wait. We always order a bottle of wine and 3 glasses. I bet it was close to 20 minutes before we were served the wine. Excuse, the bartender had to go back and try to find it. Really!!!!! After dinner we decided to get a glass of wine before we played the slots more and again we had to wait to be served. Horrible service!!!

We started going to Horse Palace Swan Ranch about a year ago and we almost always have lunch while gambling. At first the restaurant was a little dicey but it has improved greatly in the past few months. The menu has expanded, the food has improved a lot and the service is top-notch. My wife has tried several sandwiches and a flatbread and I almost always have a burger and fries. I think a good indicator of how a restaurant is doing is their french fries. The fries here now come to the table hot and crisp. Excellent! We now look forward to our meal almost as much as we do the gaming. The Steakhouse is a big part of why the casino is so busy whenever we are there and has helped to enable the upcoming expansion. We live in Fort Collins and are very pleased we can now drive 35 minutes to gamble and have a good meal instead of two hours to Black Hawk. If you haven't tried the High Plains Steakhouse and Horse Palace Swan Ranch please do so. You won't be disappointed.
