Inspired by the finest traditions of Japanese bar craft and the mystique of the American speakeasy, we offer an intimate setting for slow, intentional drinking. Our handcrafted cocktails—guided by the Slow Drinks movement—explore the meeting point of Japanese flavors and American terroir, creating experiences that are both timeless and distinctly of this place.
Reservations must be confirmed via OpenTable or SMS to be held. This helps us accommodate walk-ins and avoid unnecessary cancellation fees. Unconfirmed reservations may be released to our waitlist.
Late cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are subject to a $20 per person fee.

Tuna Bar is a Japanese Raw Bar and Grill concept created by Owner and Chef Kenneth Sze. Located in Old City Philadelphia, Tuna Bar boasts a relaxing, upscale atmosphere serving fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The diverse menu offers traditional and specialty sushi rolls, raw oysters, scallops, hand-selected fish, and shareable entrees. Tuna Bar offers a fully stocked bar of wine, sake, and spirits. We shared the Carnivore's Feast, and it was every bit as delicious as it was unique. It was such a fun way to sample four different types of meat, and each one was flavorful and perfectly prepared. We also ordered the roasted potatoes, which were excellent, although the feast itself was so generous that we barely made a dent in them! The cocktails were well-crafted and complemented the meal nicely. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable.
