Havana has been committed to serving local and organic meats, produce and seafood since it opened 25 years ago. All of our meats are “naturally raised” meaning no steroids, antibiotics or hormones and “humanely raised” meaning room to roam, proper shelter and gentle handling. We make every effort to buy only sustainably harvested seafood, primarily from the Gulf of Maine. We have consistently searched out New England farmers and fisherfolk to purchase product that is not only great tasting but great for the environment and local economy as well.

McKay's Public House serves savory pub fare in a quaint space—complete with a lovely outdoor garden. In season, our highly rated restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfasts at the Friar are hearty and healthy. Portions are generous and everything is made from scratch right here at the Black Friar Inn. Open to the public, breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. If you are staying at the Inn, your breakfast is included in the room rate.Each afternoon the Friar's Pub opens at 4 pm for happy hour, offering $6 house wine and drafts (Maine selections always on tap) and the company is fine. Settle in after a day in the park in an old-fashioned British pub atmosphere. A full line of spirits, classic and creative cocktails, wines, and craft brews are served.Shareable plates and pub fare, dinner offerings include welsh rarebit, scotch eggs, crab cakes, and much more.     Phenomenal food. Friendly and efficient service. Incredible view. Had dinner last night with a perfect view of the moon on the water. Hubby had filet with crab special and I had the arctic char. Shared a creme brulee for dessert. Everything was mouth watering perfection. Five stars!

    Sat upstairs near 2 larger groups which elevated the noise level but it did not bother us. Food & service was fantastic! Definately would recommend and return.

    As always an exceptional experience at Havana. Hadn't been there in some time and the owner recognized me right away. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent wine recommendations. It's just a pleasure going to Havana. Everything is top shelf but it's very relaxed and friendly.
