Service was excellent with all staff checking in on us and serving us promptly. Additionally the food was absolutely amazing and the beer we ordered was expertly brewed. The food was outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with such care and attention to detail. Every dish was a delight. What made the evening even more special was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally attentive, warm, welcoming and professional throughout. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and their genuine hospitality made us feel so well looked after. The service really was every bit as impressive as the food. If I were to mention one small thing, it would be the noise level from some of the surrounding tables, which occasionally made it difficult to enjoy a quiet conversation together. However, I completely appreciate that this is largely outside the restaurant’s control, and it certainly wouldn’t detract from our wonderful experience. The Gruff Goat made us feel welcome, had an excellent food and wine menu and a no-nonsense kids plate. So enjoyed my dinner there. The mushroom pate starter was absolutely delicious and the risotto was incredibly flavorful.
