Situated right on the water in Venice, the restaurant offers an unparalleled, front-row panorama of the iconic island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Watching the light dance across the lagoon while enjoying an extraordinary meal feels less like dinner and more like a living painting. Having been there twice for both lunch and dinner, I can say the experience is equally breathtaking at any time of day. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel like an honored guest from the moment you sit down. We had the carpaccio with rocket and cherry tomatoes, he octopus salad with potatoes, pasta and pesto, the chicken schnitzel and fries and the florentine steak. Everything was great. The oil and vinegar with the bread service were great and helped dress the salad on the carpaccio. Reservation was very helpful since it was New Year's Eve, and the evening was busy and cold. Chef Amarante has very unique vision and perfect execution in every one of the dishes, including flawless, yet simple plates that were anything but simple. They also boasted one of the best wine pairings I’ve ever had. I expect to hear much more of this restaurant and the chef in the future, their only momentum is up.
