Scales was one of my favorite restaurants on my visits and I was so excited to dine here again. Thrilled that it is just as good as I remembered. I reserved a seat at the bar, my favorite place to sit, and it was wonderful. The restaurant is so beautiful, welcoming and well-maintained. My bartender/server was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The endive Stilton salad was incredible. I couldn’t get over how perfect it was. The tuna crudo, delicious. The fresh oysters (two of each kind) were icy cold, very clean, and super tasty -heavenly. The gentlemen who prepared my oysters was equally friendly and skilled. The scallops!! Wow. And finally, while I still don’t know how I feel as able to eat dessert, I had the butterscotch sundae. Oh my God. I honestly thought I was going to cry tears of joy over that meal. Such a delight. 10/10 no notes. In the craziness of this world, that meal felt like a big warm hug. Food a bit more varied - some dishes are excellent (ask your server) - others a bit less so. But value is high and definitely worth a visit.
