Flor de Maiz is the latest concept from the creators of Los Agaves Restaurants, located on Santa Barbara’s waterfront. Oaxacan inspired cuisine + modern mixology. Xochimoyahuatl is the flower or spigot of the milpa, inspiration whose name, Flor de Maíz, has its origin. It is now how the tribes of pre-Hispanic Mexico venerated corn as the seed of life, between the creation and the sacred. We like to prioritize our walk-ins at Flor de Maíz, so parties of 7 or less are welcome to come in at a first come, first serve basis. Parties of 8 or more are welcome to make a reservation. If you have a party of 15 or more, please call the restaurant so we can best accommodate you and your guests.

    Excellent, flavorful meal. The cornbread was an incredible treat, so glad we tried. Brussel sprouts uniquely flavored and excellent. Broccolini also so well prepared and flavored perfectly. The mushroom pasta excellent. Such a memorable meal.

    My husband and I came to Oku for a nice dinner, off the bat host was super lovely and accommodated our desires for seating. Our waitress whose name I don’t remember was quite pleasant and professional. We got a few rolls and several apps. Salmon skin roll was not my fav but everything else was delicious! Would definitely come back and recommend to friends

    Our first time in Santa Barbara, and we certainly chose the best restaurant. Amazing views, great food and service, plus a jazz trio to entertain us. Would highly recommend.

    What a perfect place! Great vibe, delicious food, excellent service. Our server, Chloe, was top notch. She handled my dietary restrictions with ease and her recommendations couldn’t have been better. All staff were friendly and welcoming - the host, the bartenders, the wait staff. Not only was the food incredible, they had an impressive selection of wine and spirits. We will definitely make this a staple for every visit to Santa Barbara.
