Poppie’s is renowned for authenticity – and it’s little wonder, with born and bredEast-end proprietor, Pat ‘Pop’ Newland, at the helm. Pop’s career in the fish and chip business started in 1952 when, aged 11, he got a job on Roman Road cutting up copies of The Daily Mirror to wrap fish and chips in.     It was our first time at Wandering Grapes and we had a wonderful exoerience there. The food, the service and the ambience was all lovely. It's run by husband and wife team. They were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of wines. Thank you.

    The restaurant is spacious and it feels good when you are walking in. Some restaurants would put as many tables in as possible, but not this one. Food was very good with attentive service. The six of us ordered many different dishes to share and each ordered a bento. It was value for money and we were all very pleased. The only issue was that the bass of the sound system was unusually heavy, and even the benches vibrated a little. Slightly uncomfortable. But we will go back.

    Great service. Great Sunday roast. Atmosphere is comfortable and has a nice aesthetic. Will definitley return. Recommend for a meal or a pint.
