The Depot Restaurant - Seaview features casual fine dining offering a Chef's Table to watch owner Chef Michael Lalewicz perform his magic from a display kitchen. The covered heated deck adds outdoor seating. A northwest and international wine list offers 16 wines by the glass, five microbrews and a hard cider on-tap. This 132 year old train station from the peninsula's Clamshell Railroad feels like a French Bistro especially when seated at the 9 seat counter reminding one of the Orient Express. Located in the charming beach town of Gearhart, OR - possibly best known for being the summer home & final resting place of James Beard, the godfather of American fine dining, The Pacific Way is located in a history filled 1929 building. Depending on the coastal weather, you may chose a cozy space indoors, warm by a fire or dine in our covered dog friendly patio. Our menu is farm-to-table, changes based on what is fresh from the farms this week & our culinary team offers chalkboard menu items regularly. My wife had the Steak Killian and I had the Clams Bucatini. Both were prepared and presented to perfection. They make a nice dirty martini too, and the marion berry cobbler was excellent. It's a small space and popular with both locals and visitors, so best make a reservation.

Excellent restaurant in every respect; food, service, decor, you name it. This is a genuine diamond in the rough. I will never understand how a small town restaurant can find such talented kitchen staff. Pretty amazing. You won't be disappointed.
