I use the Open Tab app back home in the United States and was excited Il Barroccio accepted reservations this way. It was so convenient! Via the app when I made my reservation, I did share that both my sons have peanut and tree nut allergies. On arrival when we checked in there was a gentleman at the door who acknowledged my note and shared with us that the restaurant does not use any nuts. That was so reassuring! We arrived just about half an hour earlier than our reserved time, but they immediately took us back. Kevin was our server and he was great! He was very welcoming and there were a lot of friendly jokes. The appetizers, bread, and our individual meals were all delicious. We particularly enjoyed the vegetables. They were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous that we had to bring some food home. When we thought our bellies were full and could not eat anymore, we were then surprised by complimentary limoncello for me and my husband, tiramisu, and juice for our sons from Kevin. All of a sudden we definitely had room for dessert in our already content bellies! The tiramisu was amazing and the limoncello so refreshing after a fulfilling day touring Rome. Kevin kindly asked me to do a review on Open Table, so you best believe I will deliver when it was so well deserved! Grazie, from your Filipino friends from the US! Bravo!

The experience was fun! Good break from traditional Italian food but great service, ambiance and environment. Would recommend for a fun dinner. Tables turn quickly.
