Winner of the Open Table diner's choice award in 2025, Jerk at Nite, founded by Howard University students, in 2014, began as a solution to the lack of late-night food options at Howard University. After seeing peers struggle with unhealthy fast food, a small group of students, raised in a Jamaican household, started delivering flavorful jerk chicken and other Jamaican dishes from their dorm room. What began as a small campus venture evolved into a food truck business in 2015, and later, a brick-and-mortar restaurant.     My second time back to Marta and it did not disappoint. The cocktails are all so fun and taste amazing. Highly reccomend any of the steak entrees, chef does a fabulous job!

    My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Blackwall Hitch (Annapolis) and the experience was absolutely great. Our waitress was spectacular and the ambience of the restaurant topped it off. We will definitely be dining there again.

    A friend and I had another excellent lunchtime experience at Sammy's. We failed to ask the server her name. She had long dark hair, was slender and was professional, courteous and very efficient. We both ordered the Julia salad and asked that the peppers be removed. Our salads arrived as ordered (no peppers). There were other patrons in the dining room. The overall ambiance was very pleasant. The restaurant was clean and pretty. I think Sammy's has been and remains a hidden gem of a restaurant in the area. Highly recommend dining at Sammy's.

    I enjoyed the ambiance and decor. I ordered the lamb chops which were good, the mac and cheese, and the mussels were great. The overall experience was great, and I would return the next time that I'm in the area.
