Steersons returns to King Street Wharf completely reimagined. A new menu, a new wine list, a new executive chef and a dining room redesigned from the ground up, with the harbour and the open fire exactly where they have always been.The menu is built around the grill and the water it looks out on. Premium beef from four producers across New South Wales and Queensland, selected cut by cut for breed, region and flavour profile. Seafood sourced from Australian waters, from Spencer Gulf kingfish to Merimbula oysters. A wine list chosen to work with the food rather than simply accompany it.Lunch at Steersons is a different experience from dinner and worth the trip on its own terms. The lunch menu is concise, the harbour is at its best in the middle of the day and the room is quieter for it. Our mission is to showcase Australian sustainably sourced seafood, prepare it expertly and serve it simply.We work closely with fisherman around Australia to source only the best seafood. All of our fish is purchased whole and processed in our custom designed Fish Butchery just down the road from the restaurant. Some species of fish are dry aged in our custom designed cool rooms, allowing us to intensify and clarify the flavour of certain species as well as achieve maximum skin crispness.Our sustainable approach and appreciation of Australian fish is displayed by our use of the whole fish, including offal where appropriate.Our attention to detail in all things fish, flows down into everything we do; from our vegetable preparations, our exquisite desserts, and our wine list.

    Never been here before, went in for an early dinner by myself, was greeted by an extremely welcoming and friendly waitress (sorry I didn’t catch anyone’s names) somtimes going into a new place by yourself can be easy to feel uncomfortable and anxious but not here i was made to feel very comfortable and welcomed from the start to finish like i was a old friend . There was another gentleman and lady server who attended to me both as equally wonderful as the first. The food was incredible I had the O’Connor Ox Steer Grass Fed steak served perfectly to MR also had the side of Brussel sprouts which was amazing too. I have no notes or criticisms at all if I’m in the area again I’d love to return. Thankyou thankyou

    Delicious food, friendly & attentive service, great cocktails. Went for the quick fire menu which was great value & absolutely delicious, we like to eat so we added a couple of extras & was stuffed! Highlights were the prawn toast & honey cake! Even though we were on quick fire we didnt feel rushed at all, all the service staff were lovely. We had a few different cocktails which were all great! Would return in a heartbeat

    I always have a lovely experience at Yellow. The food is delicious and always surprising and the staff are wonderful. I live in WA so I only get to visit occasionally which makes the experience especially memorable and appreciated.
