The bright, unusual and very festive atmosphere is just the beginning.This place's has amazing cocktails, and delicious, inspired food. It’s Mexican, but it’s not the old refried beans and everything tastes the same Mexican, not by a longshot. Their menu is inspired and so good. My most recent trip was for lunch with a friend and business associate, and I ordered salmon tacos, which were beautifully presented and so delicious. Since we were working, we both had Virgin margaritas and honestly, I didn’t even miss the alcohol. Probably felt a little tipsy by the end just because we were having such a great time. I always recommend this restaurant to people and hadn’t been there for a while so it was extra fun this time.

Always a premium experience in food and service. My favorite in Charlottesville and the restaurant I take visiting friends and family to dine.

There was nothing stating that lunch needed to be ordered at the counter first. I believe that this should be included on the website. The service started off a bit rocky. I asked for a different set of silverware as the napkin holding them appeared to be dirty, perhaps, it was just stained but, never the less, I asked to have it replaced. And, I wasn't being a jerk about it. I had asked politely. We received it with a rolling of the eyeballs. Once our food was brought to the table, service was great! Same person but, with a much better attitude. The food was very good. I had the 1/2 Po’ Boy Sandwich with Fried Shrimp and my friend had the Salad Nicoise with the Ahi Tuna. Both plates were aesthetically pleasing and tasted delicious.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our 34th anniversary. Andrew was a terrific server and we enjoyed our 3 course fixed price dinner. Recommend trout, mussels, and orange almond cake ( gluten free). Will definitely go back!
