Welcome to Kazbar, a lively Mediterranean tapas and cocktail bar on Oxford’s Cowley Road, just a short walk from the city centre. Colourful sharing plates, freshly shaken cocktails and warm, friendly service make it the perfect spot for date nights, after work drinks, office parties and big celebrations. Graze on patatas bravas, meat and fish tapas, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes, all made to share. Behind the bar you will find jugs of sangria, Spanish wines, ice cold beers and well made cocktails. Walk ins are welcome every day and evening; at busy times you are invited to relax with a drink at the bar while you wait, and thanks to quick service and steady table rotation we can usually seat you promptly and keep the atmosphere buzzing without it ever feeling rushed. A rural public house serving local beers, Berkshire gin and ciders, as well as a great wine selection. Bar snacks and full meals available 7 days a week. Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer. Whilst a subtle Basque feel will permeate throughout, its roots are firmly founded on those of a classic English pub – so while featuring top end Basque dishes fit for a destination dinner, it also offers simple pub snacks for a light lunch… while the food may be inspired by the Basque country, the ingredients are local… and while the wines may be sourced from Iberia, the beer is very much English.The crowning glory is the sensational open kitchen, with a huge, CHARCOAL FIRED parilla grill and a BRICK OVEN as its centrepiece and all in front of the guests – very visual and very theatrical.     A really fabulous treat of a pub with dining that showcases a diverse and interesting range of small plate dishes. The menu allowed us to create a meal of a size and selection of delightful flavour combinations to our own liking and appetite. All the staff were lovely; attentive and helpful at just the right level. It was a lovely way to spend a wet Saturday in Woodstock.

    Lovely time here for my partners bday, very attentive staff who made the experience welcoming for our first visit. We enjoyed the beef croquettes and hummus the most and would definitely come back! Unknowing to us it was also wine Wednesday which was a nice bonus (25% off). 😊

    We went as a family to celebrate a birthday The food was excellent and everybody including the fussier eaters could find something they liked on the menu The staff bought the food as it was made and it was all well presented and nicely portioned. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and knew the menu well and were knowledgable and helpful excellent experience
