    As always, a meal at Charlie’s was one of the highlights of our Hilton Head trip. Our party of eight was totally delighted by the wonderful food, attentive service, and exceptional ambiance. Over the past decades we’ve been to every highly-regarded restaurant on the island, and Charlie’s is by far the very best, time after time. Genuinely great restaurant!

    The food was absolutely delicious! Special: Catfish Etouffee was unbelievable with wonderful spices. Grilled salmon with whipped cheese grits was so delicious! The service was impeccable! Highly recommend!

    If you have ever been to Maine well this is it! Gracious service, incredible quality, the tastiest lobster rolls, butter or mayonnaise, very tender, fresh toasted split bun. But oh! The clam chowder is a must. Many days there’s fresh soda bread too! Probably the fried clam bellies are my favorite, a true blast from the past. If you enjoy New England seafood prepared correctly go to The Maine Cafe and enjoy!
