Very friendly helpful servers. Food is always excellent

This was my fourth time dining at Marcu DC and have found each visit to be a great dining experience. The menu is diverse with selections that meets the need of a vegetarian to a pescatarian to a carnivore! You must try the cornbread, scallops and duck. Rachel, the Pastry Chef, is the quiet star of the restaurant. She has a great personality and displays the love of her job through amazing desserts.

My daughters enjoyed the vodka pasta, sourdough bread appetizer, and their desserts - creme brûlée and chocolate ganache. I enjoyed the bolognese and gelato. I would eat here again. Service was attentive and the ambience was nice. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the people-watching.

We had a lovely brunch here at Gerrard Street Kitchen. The ambience is beautiful. I commented to my friend that I liked the atmosphere. We sat indoors although umbrella -covered outdoor tables were available. Our server was friendly and attentive. My friend and I decided to split the tart and kale caesar and they kitchen was thoughtful to split it for us so we didn't have to. Both were delicious and well-presented. We were celebrating my friend's birthday which I had noted when I made the reservation. Gerrard Street Kitchen was kind enough to bring out a complimentary creme brûlée garnished with fruit and a chocolate happy birthday sign. I really appreciate restaurants that acknowledge a birthday with a nice gesture. Not all places will do it and I take note of the ones that do. Gerrard Street Kitchen hadn't been on my radar but I found it on open table since it's near where my friend attends church. It's a little outside of my normal restaurants locations but I really enjoyed the restaurant and look forward to returning. I also found street parking very easily for Sunday brunch.
